Exercise Physiologist
Position is contingent in the Cardiology Department / Stress Testing
Conducts graded exercise stress tests including pharmacologic and stress echocardiograms. Obtains comprehensive medical history including risk factor stratification, medication list and patient's complaint. Assesses and prepares patient for noninvasive testing, including the review of lab results, physician order and patient status. Prepares patient with ECG, obtains blood pressures, heart rates, and electrocardiograms as needed during procedure. Monitors for any abnormalities pre, during, and post-procedure. Prepares recordings and preliminary report for interpretation by physician. Implements appropriate emergency care according to ACLS protocol. Records assessments, interventions and patient status on medical records
Education- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology/Science required. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS). Mandatory EKG course completion or competency EKG tests taken and passed. Two years previous experience in noninvasive cardiology, hospital base experience is preferred. Communication and interpersonal skills necessary in order to effectively interact with patients and other clinical professionals. Must be able to interpret standard 12-lead EKGs.

Full time (0.8 FTE, 32 hours per week)
Past clinical cardiology experience preferred with an interest in Preventative Cardiology/Cardiac Rehabilitation. Our continually growing outpatient program is AACVPR certified with a vibrant patient population including Phase II and Phase III cardiac rehabilitation (post MI, PCI, CABG and/or Valve Repairs (including robotic)), CHF and/or CMY (including LVAD) with an excellent physician referral base.
We value nurses as an integral part of our multi-disciplined staff to insure high quality in patient clinical care and individualized patient education. We are looking for someone with excellent clinical skills, flexibility in their approach to patient care and a positive "team building" attitude.

Registered Nurse-Cardiac Prevention and Rehab
Position reports to Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation Coordinator, involves a constant working relationship with other hospital staff, such as: Cardiovascular Service Line Staff, physicians, social workers, and dieticiann, as well as interaction with patients and family members at an inpatient, outpatient and community level.
Position is for 24 hours per week
Applicant must be a graduate of an approved School of Nursing, currently licensed and in good standing with the State of Michigan Department of Licensure and Registration, have a minimum of two years experience in Critical Care Nursing, as well as previous experience in outpatient Cardiac Rehab.
Current BCLS and ACLS certification is required. Current Clinical Exercise Specialist certification through the American College of Sports Medicine -or- Cardiovascular Nurse Certification through the American Nurse’s Association preferred upon hire, or obtain certification for Clinical Exercise Specialist or Cardiovascular Nurse Certification within one year.
Comprehensive knowledge of Cardiac Rehabilitation in the acute and outpatient settings.
Maintains 20 hours of approved continuing education annually (includes mandatory education settings).
